Rudolph Mini Donuts: A Fun Holiday Treat

If you're looking for a super fun holiday treat to make with the kids, look no further! These Rudolph Mini Donuts are absolutely adorable! And since they're made with store-bought mini-donuts, you don't have to worry about making a mess in your kitchen!

If you've been around here for any length of time, you know I'm all about fun holiday treats and creating memories with my family. And while I love making things from scratch, during the hustle and the bustle of the Christmas season, sometimes I just have enough time to create something quick and easy!

The good news is that your kids won't care if these donuts are made from scratch…they'll be so thrilled with how cute they are! And they'll be even more excited that they got to help make them!

If you're hosting a Christmas party and kids will be attending, plan on having a Christmas themed movie starring Rudolph playing and set up a Rudolph Donut Making station to keep with the theme.

If your kids are in school and your school allows “homemade” treats, these are super fun to bring for a holiday party. I know that many schools are only allowing treats that are in sealed wrappers and containers.

What I love about this recipe is that it is easy and cheap. The ingredients are super simple. You may even have all or some of the supplies in the house.

How to Make Rudolph Mini Donuts

There are 3 very easy steps to make these adorable Rudolph mini donuts. You can have this festive holiday treat done in no time at all (even if the kids are helping).

You will need one mini donut and 2 mini pretzels to make each Rudolph donut. Using the frosting as glue, place the mini pretzels on the top corners of the donuts to make antlers.

Next, you'll want to “glue” the red jelly beans to the center of the donut to make the adorable red bright Rudolph nose that we all know and love.

The final touch is using more frosting to attach 2 candy eyes to each donut.

Now you have these super adorable and delicious Rudolph mini donut snacks.

How long do these Rudolph mini donut snacks last?

About 2 minutes… Oh, you mean, how long can you store them for? Sorry, I have teenagers, which means everything sweet gets gobbled up in 2 minutes!

You can store these Rudolph mini donuts in an airtight container for up to a week.

Can I use any brand mini donuts?

Yep! You sure can! You can use any store-bought brand mini donuts you wish. I've used Little Debbie Mini Frosted Donuts and Hostess Donettes Mini Frosted Donuts. I'm sure that any small chocolate frosted donut would work well.

Can I use homemade mini donuts?

Of course! You know I'm all about homemade donuts! You'll want to use a mini donut pan instead of a traditional donut pan. I would use either this Peppermint Mocha Donut recipe or this Keto Glazed Chocolate Donut recipe for these. You could use this Funfetti Donut recipe, but you'd need to coat them with a chocolate glaze to make them look like Rudolph! 🙂

Can I use full sized donuts instead of mini donuts?

Technically, you could, but it would totally throw off the scale of the face. If you decide to use full-sized donuts instead of mini donuts, you'll want to use full size pretzels instead of mini pretzels, the large size of candy eyeballs, and something bigger for the nose. You could probably go with a big red gumdrop.

Does it matter what brand of mini pretzels I use?

Nope. It totally doesn't matter which branch of mini pretzels you use, just choose ones that taste good.

I have a few brands I like and I tend to stock up on them whenever they're on sale.
