Today is one of my favorite National Holidays…Donut Day! And in honor of this fun holiday, I thought I’d share this Funfetti Baked Donuts Recipe.
This homemade donut recipe is super easy to make and will be a big hit with kids and grownups alike!
How To Make FunFetti Baked Donuts
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
Donut Glaze Topping:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 Tbsp. milk
- Food coloring for your glaze – I used pink (this is optional)
- Rainbow sprinkles for topping
Preheat oven to 350º. Spray 2 donut pans with cooking spray. These are my favorite donut pans.
Using a mixer, beat the eggs in a mixing bowl until blended. Add butter, vanilla and sugar and mix until smooth.
Add to your egg mixture, flour, salt and baking powder , combine until all ingredients are fully mixed. Add milk and stir until smooth. Add rainbow sprinkles.
Add batter into prepared donut pans.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool slightly, then remove donuts to allow them to fully cool .
While donuts are cooling, mix glaze by combining powdered sugar, vanilla and milk together and whisk until smooth. Add food coloring if desired. When donuts are fully cooled, dip in glaze and top with rainbow sprinkles.
