A few weeks ago, I shared that I was reading Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. It's an interesting book that debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning AND lets you snack at night! Win-Win!

Today I wanted to update you on my progress and what I'm loving about this plan.

I decided to try this plan to lose some of the weight I gained during the last few crazy months. So far, I've lost 5 pounds…which is awesome. I am the world's slowest weight loser and I'm OK with that.
I've also tried some new things…like lemon water in the morning. When I read about the benefits, I thought it was definitely worth trying.
“One of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals, lemon water is a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.”
While I don't think the lemon water has been life-changing, it's definitely helped to stave off hunger in the mornings.
According to Always Eat After 7PM, “The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.”
I like that this plan addresses hunger instead of glossing over it and saying “just eat less”. This plan allows you to eat when you're hungriest and gives you tools to make intermittent fasting easier.

One of the favorite things about Always Eat After 7PM is that the book is full of amazing recipes. I love trying new recipes…and these don't disappoint.

While there were a bunc of great recipes, my favorite so far is the Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet. It has a perfect blend of tanginess and cheesiness. It's seriously delish! It's one of those recipes that is worth doubling so that you can freeze some for down the road. It's also perfect to use as filling in Stuffed Peppers.
Other dinner favorites include Fiesta Chicken Skillet, Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken, BBQ Carnitas Lettuce Tacos and Teriyaki Meatballs. This week I'm planning on making Ground Beef Lasagna with Tomato Basil Sauce. It's made with buternut squash and I can't wait to try it!
If you're in the mood for dessert, you'll be happy to know that Always Eat After 7PM includes some delicious dessert options…like these No Bake Salted Caramel Bars.

There are plenty of other yummy dessert recipes including Frozen Dessert Bark, Chocolate Buttons and Salted Dark Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies.
Even if you're not looking for a weight loss plan, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is worth picking up just for the recipes! They're seriously delicious!
