How To Make Easy Turkey Brownies
To make these cute thanksgiving turkey brownies, you'll need to get some frosted brownies from a local grocery store. I got our brownies from Walmart, but any local grocery store should stock them.
Then all you need to do is create your turkey's face and feathers! Easy-peasy!
If your local grocery store doesn't have frosted brownies, just pick up some chocolate frosting while you're at the store. Even if your brownies come frosted, you may want to get some extra frosting. It will make it easier to add your candy eyes, candy corn feathers and Reese's peanut butter cups to your brownies.
Pro Tip: If you can find chocolate buttercream frosting, it will definitely make for a more enjoyable treat!
Ingredients Needed
- Frosted Brownies (the ones shown here are from Walmart's bakery)
- Candy Eyes
- Candy Corn
- Reese’s Cup
How To Make Cute Turkey Brownies
Cut your brownie into squares. Many pre-made brownies are pre-cut. If that's the case with your brownies, you can skip this step.

Use some chocolate frosting to attach a Reese's peanut butter cup to your brownie. The peanut butter cup will be the turkey face and the brownie will be the turkey body.

Next place candy corn into the sides of the brownie in a fan-like shape to create the turkey feathers.

Put a little bit of frosting onto the back of each candy eyeball and stick them onto the Reese’s cup.

Place a little bit of frosting on one candy corn and stick it under the candy eyeballs.

Congrats! You now have a fun snack or the perfect dessert that will be the hit of the Thanksgiving dessert table.
FAQ {Frequently Asked Questions}
What is a Turkey Brownie?
Turkey Brownies are delicious brownies that are created to look like a turkey. They're perfect for Thanksgiving celebrations or even bake sales.
Can I make my own brownies?
If you want to bake brownies, knock yourself out! You can make brownies using your favorite box brownie mix or you can make homemade brownies using whatever homemade brownie recipe you love! If you go the route of making your own brownies, make sure you have frosting to frost them and to attach your faces and decorations.
If you're looking for a boxed brownie mix that will give you a rich fudgy homemade brownie taste, I highly recommend Ghirardelli Brownies. It's my favorite brownie mix.
You can also make a regular box mix brownies taste more like homemade brownies by adding chocolate chips.
I don't like peanut butter cups. Can I use something else instead?
I'm not sure how you can NOT like peanut butter cups, but if that's the case, you can use another circular candy like a peppermint patty.
How long do these brownie turkey treats last?
These Thanksgiving brownies never last long at our house, but if you need to store them, make sure you store them in an airtight container. They will last 5-7 days in the container. You can also freeze the brownies for up to 3 months. {Please note that while the brownies will taste fine, the longer they're stored in an airtight container or in the freezer, the more likely it is that your candy corn and eyeballs will change texture and taste.}
