Kitchen Tools You May Need
Lollipop sticks or Cake Pop sticks
Piping bags (if using orange candy melts)
Ingredients You Need To Make Snowman Oreo Pops
- 12 Chocolate sandwich cookies
- 1 cup white melting wafers
- Black icing pen
- Orange icing pen or candy melts
How To Make Oreo Snowman Pops
Add white candy melts to a microwave-safe bowl that is large enough to fully dip your Oreos in. While your white chocolate is melting, you'll want to line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. {This is what is referred to as a prepared baking sheet in case you're wondering.}
Take the top off each of your Oreos. You want to be able to place your cake pop stick in the middle of the Oreo.
Dip the end of a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate.
Place the chocolate covered lollipop stick in the center of one side of the cookie and then add the top cookie. The melted chocolate acts like glue to keep the cookies together.
Allow your “glue” to set for at least 10 mins.
Now carefully pick up your Oreo pop and dip it into chocolate, making sure the entire Oreo is covered in chocolate coating.
Tap cookie gently on the side of the bowl to let the excess chocolate drip off. Now place your dipped Oreo onto your cookie sheet. Once the chocolate sets, you can begin the face.
Add the snowman's eyes first.
Make sure you leave enough space for the nose.
Add the mouth as dots, starting in the center and then adding equal dots on both sides to create the smile. Let dry for about 8 to 10 minutes.
If using orange candy melts, add a few to a piping bag and then microwave in 30-second increments until melted.
Snip off the tip and pipe a dot in the center for the carrot nose.
Allow your cookie pops to set before enjoying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to use white candy melts to dip the OREOs in?
Nope. You can use almond bark, white chocolate chips, white baking chocolate or even leftover white chocolate candy bars that you got in your Christmas stocking. 🙂 As long as you end up with melted white chocolate that is smooth, you're good.
I don't have orange candy melts? Can I use something different for the nose?
Yep. You can use a small piece of orange candy, an orange sprinkle or anything else your heart desires. And if worse comes to worse, you could even just use the black frosting to make a coal nose.
Can my kids help with these?
Yes. I try to make as many things as possible that your kids can help with. I think it's the perfect way to get your kids interested in cooking and baking.
If your kids are little, you may want to use a thicker cake pops stick as they're less fragile and easier to manage with little hands.
How do I store these Oreo Snowman Pops?
If you are planning on giving these out as Christmas treats, I recommend wrapping each individual snowmen Oreo cookie in a cellophane treat bag. If you are planning on serving at a party, I like to display them on a cake pop stand. If you have any leftovers (which I highly doubt you will), you can place them in cellophane treat bags or in an airtight container.
