I love creating fun and easy recipes that make holidays feel extra special, but I love them even more when they can make a cold winter day feel like a holiday! These Easy White Chocolate Spoons are for Valentine's Day, but you can use them any day of the year!

These white chocolate spoons are designed to be used as stirring spoons and can be used to stir your hot cocoa, coffee, or even hot chocolate bombs. These spoons are fun to make and look adorable when you serve them up at your hot cocoa bar. Plus, if you're into homemade gifts, this one is a great one!
Keep in mind these are not hot chocolate spoons. They will not make hot chocolate…they're just designed to add chocolate flavor to your other hot drinks. I've made these with sprinkles, but you can add other things to your spoons. I've got some suggestions below in the FAQs.
White Chocolate Spoons Ingredients

- White chocolate chips, candy melts or almond bark
- Plastic spoons
- Valentine’s sprinkles
- Parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone mat
How To Make Chocolate Spoons
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. You can also use a tray if it's easier.
Melt your white chocolate in a double boiler. Place the chocolate in a heat-safe bowl and place over a saucepan with 2 inches of water in it. Heat over low-medium heat stirring the sides often until chocolate is fully melted.

Dip a spoon into the chocolate. If you find that your spoon isn't fully coated, you can use a small spatula or another spoon to coat the well of your plastic spoon.

Remove your spoon from the chocolate and place on parchment paper or a silicone mat. Immediately add sprinkles!

Continue to coat spoons in chocolate and decorate with sprinkles until all of your spoons are finished.
Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes or allow to sit at room temperature for 90 minutes to make sure chocolate is fully set.

FAQs {Frequently Asked Questions}
No. You can use whatever kind of spoons you want. I have seen people turn wooden spoons into really fun festive spoons by using washi tape on the handle of the spoons before dipping the well of the spoons into the melted chocolate.
You can even use metal spoons. I know someone who uses this chocolate spoons recipe to make gifts and they buy cool metal spoons at thrift stores. They make such a unique gift especially when gifted with a cute mug.
There are so many fun toppings you can add to these spoons. I love mini marshmallows, crushed candy canes or peppermint candies, mini white chocolate chips or semisweet chocolate chips. Heck you could even use peanut butter chips to add some peanut buttery goodness to your mug of hot chocolate.
Think about the flavors you want to add to your coffee or hot cocoa and add that to your spoon. I ate some Toffifay yesterday (did you know they have 2 different spellings Toffifay and Toffifee?) and it made me think about adding some toffee bits to these spoons. YUM! Toffifay is my favorite candy and if I can make a cup of coffee or hot cocoa taste like that I'd be in heaven!
Nope. You can use the microwave if you prefer it. Just use a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it in 30-second intervals. You don't want to heat chocolate melts too fast or they get a weird consistency.
You can add a little tiny bit of oil to your chocolate to help thin it out so that it's easier to coat the well of your spoon. Do not add water or it will cause your chocolate to seize up.
These chocolate spoons make delightful holiday gifts and so you may want to make a huge batch of them. If you're making large quantities, I highly recommend you make them in short burst. Just melt a little chocolate and make some spoons…then repeat. Don't melt more than 1 cup of chocolate chips at a time.
I like to wrap each chocolate spoon in a cellophane bag. You could also use plastic wrap or a plastic bag. Once they're wrapped in plastic, you'll want to store them in a cool dry place.
During the holiday season, it's a great idea to keep them in a mason jar on your counter so you can use them instead of coffee spoons. And they're so cute that they make great conversation starters.
Make A Winter Gift Basket That Includes These Fun Spoons
Let's face it. Winters can be hard. It's cold outside. Your body isn't getting the Vitamin D it needs and Seasonal Affective Disorder (also commonly referred to as SAD) my be rearing its ugly head. Make someone's day with an adorable winter gift basket or mug.
You can make the perfect winter gift basket (or gift mug) that includes these adorable white chocolate spoons.
If you're planning on doing a winter gift basket, I recommend including a pair of fuzzy socks (these are my favorite), hot cocoa bombs or hot cocoa mix, a cute mug (I personally like DIY mugs or Rae Dunn mugs), some hand warmers, a coloring book, and maybe some chocolate bars (I regularly add these chocolate thoughts to gifts).
If you're making a gift mug, simply add a few chocolate spoons wrapped in cellophane, a hot chocolate bomb or 2 and some Hershey's kisses! Then wrap your treat filled mug with cellophane and tie it with a ribbon.
