I am so excited to share these Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Oreos with you! These fun treats are easy to make and your whole family will LOVE them!

I love making Christmas cookies and these cute reindeer OREOS are a hit at every holiday party I take them to. They're so easy to make and both kids and adults love them!
If you've been looking for an easy holiday treat to make, you totally need to make these OREOs.
Ingredients for Reindeer OREOs
- 1 package of Double Stuf Oreos
- Red and Green Christmas M&Ms
- 2 bags of milk chocolate melting wafers
- 2 packages of candy eyeballs (while you can technically get away with 1 pack, if you’re like me, you’re going to drop some on the floor) 😂
- 1 bag of mini pretzel twists
- 1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat
How To Make Reindeer OREO Cookies
Use a double boiler to melt 1 bag of chocolate wafers, stirring gradually.
When your chocolate is smooth, dip Oreos into melted chocolate, using a fork to coat evenly. Tap off excess chocolate and place cookies on a parchment-covered baking sheet.

Now it's time to create the face of your favorite reindeer.
Start by placing a chocolate wafer on the OREO to form the reindeers mouth.

Next you'll want to place 2 candy eyes above the mouth. Use melted chocolate as glue to keep the eyes attached.

Now for the important part…add a candy nose to your reindeer.

When your reindeer faces are ready, place in the fridge for 20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
Once your chocolate coating sets, dip pretzel bottoms in chocolate and attach to the bottom of the cookie as antlers.
Allow the finished product to harden before serving.
Enjoy!
These Oreo Reindeer Cookies are perfect for holiday parties or for watching Christmas movies with your family!
FAQs {Frequently Asked Questions}
Can I use different types of chocolate for melting?
Absolutely! While milk chocolate is recommended, feel free to experiment with dark or white chocolate for different flavors.
Can I use chocolate chips instead of melting wafters?
While you are welcome to use chocolate chips for the candy coating, you'll still want to have some melting wafers on hand as we place one on the top of the Oreo to make the reindeers mouth.
What if I don't have a double boiler for melting chocolate?
No worries! You can melt chocolate in the microwave. Place your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in short 30 second intervals, stirring in between, to avoid burning.
Can I make these in advance?
Yes, these cookies can be made a day or two in advance. Just keep them in an airtight container in a cool place.
Are there alternatives to a red M&M for the red nose?
Definitely! You can use any small red candy, like Skittles or jelly beans.
How can I prevent the pretzel antlers from breaking?
Handle the pretzels gently and dip them in chocolate to give them more strength when attaching to the cookies.
Can I make these gluten-free?
Yes, use gluten-free Oreos and ensure that all other ingredients are gluten-free.
Is this a kid-friendly recipe?
Absolutely! Kids will love both making and eating these adorable Rudolph Oreos. Just supervise the melting chocolate step.
How long do these cookies last?
Stored in an airtight container, they can last up to a week, though they're best enjoyed within a few days for optimal freshness.
Can I freeze these cookies?
It's not recommended, as the chocolate and decorations might not thaw uniformly, affecting the appearance and texture.
Can I use regular Oreos instead of Double Stuf?
Yes, but Double Stuf Oreos offer more room for decorations and a better chocolate-to-cookie ratio.
Rudolph Chocolate Dipped Oreos are not just a treat; they're a fun, festive activity that brings smiles and holiday cheer. Whether you're making them for a party, as a family activity, or just for a cozy night in, these cookies are sure to light up your holiday season.
Can I use the OREOS with the Christmas colored filling?
Absolutely. You can use Oreos with white filling or colored filling…whatever brings you the most joy!
