I am NOT a naturally organized person. I can also be scatterbrained at times. I rely on lists to help me get things done…especially things I don't enjoy doing. One of the biggest game changers for me in the getting things done department is the Motivated Moms Chore Planner. This chore planner is a daily to-do list of things you need to get done around your house on a daily basis (dishes, feeding your pets, taking your vitamins and medication) along with things assigned to specific days (cleaning out a closet, washing your hairbrush, etc). You can even choose to go with a planner that has a daily Bible reading included in it. The planners come in black and white or color. You can choose which you purchase.
I've been using the Motivated Moms Chore Planner since 2011. Last year I switched to the Motivated Moms app and although I loved it (and will keep using it since I have everything I need to do personally listed on it), it didn't have the same impact that the paper planner had in getting things done around the house.
A few years ago, I printed off my whole planner and then took it to my local office supply store (I can't remember if it was Office Depot or Staples) and had them bind it for me. It cost less than $4, but made such a difference in productivity. If you want your family to chip in, mark each task with the 1st letter of that person's name. If you named your kids all names that start with the same first letter, you'll have to write out their whole name (or assign them a number). 🙂
From now through January 10th, you can get $2 off each ebook when you use code $AVING. These ebooks regularly sell for $8, but when you use code $AVING, they're only $6. It's a super sweet deal!
