I’m all about easy recipes that will feed a crowd…especially for the holidays! This Fireworks Cake is a super fun red, white, and blue dessert!
I love holidays. We use every excuse we can to get together as a family! And since we have a big family, our family get-togethers require a whole lotta food!
I try to make things that are as easy as possible. And this red white and blue dessert is super easy to make! And while I stick to keto recipes for myself, my family likes me to make non-keto recipes too!
Red White & Blue Cake Ingredients:
1 C water
1/3 C Canola Oil
3 large eggs
½ C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
2 C powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
3-5 tbsp heavy whipping cream
1 large piping bag with star tip
How To Make A Fun Red, White, and Blue Dessert
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9×13 cake pan.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 24-30 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when a toothpick comes out clean.
Once cake is baked, set aside to cool completely.
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream until combined. Then continue beating on high til the frosting forms smooth, stiff peaks.
Scoop ½ cup of frosting into two separate bowls.
Mix a few drops of red gel into one bowl and a few drops of blue gel into the second bowl.
Using remaining white frosting, spread evenly onto the cooled cake.
Scoop the red frosting into one side of the piping bag and scoop the
blue frosting into the other side of the piping bag.
Pipe dollops of the red and blue frosting combo on top of the white frosting.
Sprinkle patriotic sprinkles on top of the cake!
