Easter Bunny Race Cars: An Easy Recipe That Kids Can Make

I love baking and making crafts with my kids. It's fun to see their creativity and we really have fun hanging out.  This Easter treat for kids is super fun and is easy enough that your kiddos can probably make it all by themselves.

We typically make tons of holiday themed crafts and recipes, but this year I have a feeling we're going to be making a crazy amount of Easter crafts and recipes.

One of my favorite Easter recipes are these Easter Bunny Race Cars.  And if you can get your hands on the Peanut Butter Eggs during other times of the year, they'd be perfect for a bunny or car themed birthday party!  The best part is that they are so easy to make that kids can make them by themselves!

Here's what you'll need:

Reese's Easter Peanut Butter EggM&Ms Easter Milk Chocolate CandyM&M's Minis Milk Chocolate Easter CandyPillsbury Creamy Supreme Vanilla FrostingAnnie's Homegrown Gluten-Free Bunny Cookies – Cocoa & Vanilla

 

• Reese’s Easter Peanut Butter Eggs
• M&M’s
• Mini M&M’s {If you can't find them, any small candy will work}
• Vanilla Frosting
• Annie’s Gluten-Free Bunny Cookies

Warning: You may want to buy extra Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.  They are seriously addictive and you may eat quite a few before you get around to making these and if you eat most of them before you have a chance to make them with your kids they will be disappointed. 🙂

Easter Bunny Car Easter Treat for Kids

Cut open the top of the Reese's Eggs.  The easiest way to do this is to dip a paring knife in super hot water to melt away the chocolate without breaking the egg.

{If your kids are doing this without you and you don't want them using a knife, they can try dipping a spoon in hot water and cutting it open that way. It doesn't work quite as well, but it will get the job done.}

Press the bunny in the driver's seat.  If the bunny doesn't stay with just the peanut butter holding him (or her), add a little frosting!

Attach the regular sized M&M’s to the bottom of the egg for wheels using your frosting as glue.

Add mini M&M’s for the steering wheel and headlights and attach with frosting.

Now you're ready to race…  Make a starting line with your extra M&Ms.
