Looking for some fun 4th of July coloring pages? You're in luck! I think you're going to love these free printable 4th of July coloring pages.
I'm a huge fan of holiday coloring pages. I think they're the perfect way to keep little hands busy on holiday mornings while we're busy prepping food or cleaning for get togethers.
It's also a fun activity that will keep little kids (and big kids) busy and occupied while out to eat at a restaurant.

Happy 4th of July (or almost 4th of July as the case may be)!
Independence Day is marked by celebrations that include fireworks, parades and barbecues. I love gathering with friends, wearing fun red, white and blue outfits (this year I'm wearing this patriotic tutu) and dressing my puppies in their patriotic puppywear to watch the 4th of July parade. {Goliath is wearing this patrotic shirt and Coco is wearing this American Cutie dress.}
There are so many traditional activities that we normally associate with celebrating our country and our freedom! Whether you're hosting an Independence Day party or spending your July 4th with a chill day at home, I think these Independence Day coloring pages will be a hit with kids of all ages.

And while these free coloring pages were designed for the 4th of July, I think they're a fun way to celebrate all patriotic holidays. So feel free to print them off for Memorial Day or any day you choose.
Coloring pages are fabulous because they allow younger kids to work on fine motor skills in a way that doesn't feel like work. And they allow older kids to de-stress and relax.
I also think they make a fun addition to homeschool lessons about the history of the United States. {I have older kids who often listen better while doodling or fidgeting and have found that coloring pages are a great way to keep them engaged in a lesson…and since these coloring pages are filled with fun patriotic images, they're perfect for American history lessons about the Declaration of Independence or government lessons about the Constitution.

While I'm not sure exactly what our Fourth of July plans will be this year {other than watching the 4th of July parade that goes by our cottage}, one thing we'll definitely be doing is printing off some of these fun 4th of July Coloring Pages. Regardless of our plans on the actual day, these are great boredom busters and they're great for keeping kids busy on rainy days or super hot days! Plus they make cute decorations!

There are 11 different images in this printable patriotic coloring book so you'll have lots of patriotic coloring pages to choose from. There is a patriotic coloring sheet with an owl that's dressed up as the Statue of Liberty and another coloring sheet with a cute owl wearing an Uncle Sam hat. In hindsight, a bald eagle may have been a better representation of the US than an owl, but you get what you get. 🙂
We have a 4th of July coloring page that mimics the US flag with fun stripes and plenty of stars. There is a little girl holding an American flag coloring page and there's even a cupcake printable page that says Happy 4th of July!
And each picture has lots of stars in the shape of a frame to add a touch of whimsy. These printables are seriously cute!
These coloring pages come in pdf format. You can print the whole PDF file off at once or just choose a page or 2. If you plan on printing lots of coloring pages at home, you may want to consider a laser jet printer. It’s so much cheaper to print with one.
While you can use crayons, markers, or colored pens, my preferred method of coloring is with colored pencils. It’s so much easier to color in those smaller areas…especially words. If you decide to go with markers or colored pens, you'll want to use a high-quality paper that your pens and markers won't bleed through.
You can use any colored pencils, but my favorites by far are these colored pencils. They’re more expensive, but they color amazingly and they last a lot longer than regular colored pencils. They come in a lot of different colors and I love the vibrant colors they produce.
If you have little kids who will be coloring, I recently discovered these awesome colored pencils for kids. They’re very similar to the ones I love, but they’re a lot cheaper. So grab a pack with your favorite colors (or your kiddos favorite colors) so they can fully enjoy these free printables.
