Attention Procrastinators! Valentine's Day is less than a month away, however if you're a procrastinator, you're probably not going to start thinking about it for another few weeks (or maybe til the night before).
If you haven't purchased a Valentine's Day gift for your honey and have no idea what to get him or her, I have a quick and easy Valentine's Day Gift Idea for you.
Easy Last Minute Valentine's Day Gift
First, I must make a disclaimer. I'm not a fan of purchasing lottery tickets. You're way more likely to get struck by lightening than you are to win the lottery, however, for this gift, I picked up some scratch off tickets. My goal was not to help my husband get rich quick and I bought them knowing we most likely won't win, but I thought this would make a cute gift that wouldn't add any clutter to our home. When I saw this Valentine's Day Gift my friend Brenda made her husband, I knew I wanted to do something similar.
Here's what you'll need:
- Bamboo Skewers
- Hershey's Kisses
- Styrofoam Hearts
- Mason Jar
- Scratch Off Lottery Tickets (If you don't want to buy real tickets, you can get these joke tickets)
- Ribbon
Once you have all your supplies, you'll want to attach the scratch off tickets to the skewers using scotch tape. Make sure not to tape over anything important.
Next you'll want to attach the styrofoam hearts to skewers. I just stuck the sharp end of the skewers into the foam hearts.
Next put your Hershey's Kisses in the bottom of the mason jar and begin to arrange the bamboo sticks with the scratch off cards and hearts in the jar. You may need to tape some of the lottery scratch off cards together.
Once you're tickets are arranged the way you want, add a ribbon to the mason jar. Last but not least, attach a card that says “I hit the jackpot when I married you!”. Other options include “I won the lotto when I met you.”
