We all have been there before when we realize that our unwanted stuff has accumulated to the point of no return. During the change of season from winter to spring many households start to clean out their closets and other areas of the home to find that they’ve accumulated quite a bit of unwanted stuff. The thing is that most of these unwanted items are in decent condition and could be sold so that you’re able to get some cash from your unwanted items. Today I’m going to share some ways you can sell your stuff online and make the most cash possible.
Where to Sell your Stuff Online to Get the Most Cash
Facebook Marketplace
Facebook Marketplace offers you a free way to sell your unwanted stuff. Many people enjoy using this free option so that they can sell their unwanted stuff and get the most cash. While you’ll have to deal with people who will try to talk you down in pricing, overall this is a fabulous place to start with when it comes to selling your unwanted stuff fast.
Craigslist
Many people have good luck selling their unwanted stuff on Craigslist as it’s a wonderful marketplace to sell your unwanted stuff for the most cash. You can easily set up a free Craigslist account and sell your unwanted items by listing them in the specific category based on whatever the items are. You can protect your identity by using Craigslist emails until you’re ready to give the person your direct info.
Poshmark
Poshmark is one of my favorite apps for buying and selling. If you haven’t joined Poshmark yet, use referral code LISATHOMPSON855 to save $5 on your first purchase. {I know we’re talking about selling, but thought I’d throw this in for good measure since you know you like to buy clothes.} This app is best suited for selling your unwanted clothing for the most cash. Since Poshmark already has a huge fashion orientated audience, it will be easier for you to sell your old clothing. The best tip to make the most cash from this option is to make sure your clothing is in good shape and of decent quality to list on Poshmark for sale.
LetGo
The best app for buying and selling locally no matter what your unwanted item is. LetGo is a free app that you can easily download onto your smartphone to list your unwanted items. This works similar to any other option listed today. You list your items, the photos, how much you’re selling it for and location. Then users on LetGo will contact you expressing interest and you can exchange information.
Yard Sale
I know I said to sell your stuff online, but if the weather is nice outside, you can opt to host a weekend event yard sale where you gather up all of your unwanted stuff and put it on display to sell. You can host a yard sale inside your garage, at a town-wide yard sale event, or on your front lawn. Just be sure to check with your local town ordinances to make sure you have valid permits to have a yard sale to sell your unwanted stuff.
These options to sell your unwanted stuff to get the most cash will surely help you start making money from items that you no longer need. As long as your unwanted items are in decent shape, you can use the ideas I shared today as a means to make the most cash for your no longer wanted items.
I like buying from these places but have not done much selling. I do like Poshmark for clothes.
I’m not familiar of some stuff that you mentioned. It’s nice to know that there are websites where you can buy and sell. I’m planning to declutter some of my things that Im not using much anymore.
Oh wow, I have never heard of some of these. Good to know, my girls want to sell some of the toys they do not play with anymore.
These are all great places to sell your items. I use just about all of these. My favorite one is probably Marketplace.
We have some stuff that we need to sell. I haven’t really used any of these yet.
Thanks for all these tips! I should try your suggestion! I use only Facebook Marketplace for moment!
This is a great list! I love exploring Facebook Marketplace! I always find great deals nearby. I will definitely check out the others on this list, too! Thank you!
I find it so much easier to sell on facebook marketplace than having a garage sale. It is nice to sell things off piece by piece.
