There are lots of things I’m good at. Unfortunately, decorating is not one of them! I know what I like when I see it, but I don’t always know how to rearrange things to showcase them in the best light.
Within the next few months, we hope to put our house on the market which means we need to finish up some projects and make sure the house shows well. One of my concerns is what to do with our family room. It’s the first room you see when you walk into the house and while it’s decorated cutely, it has a really unusual window seat turned Christmas display turned TV nook.
While the TV has served us well in that nook, I’m wondering if we need to do something different before we put our house on the market. I’m wondering if we need to put our TV in one of these Bush entertainment centers. While I love this Savannah entertainment center in Mocha Cherry, I’m not sure that we’d have a place to put it. I looked at Bush Furniture for a little stand for the TV that would fit into our little window seat/TV nook, but didn’t find one that I thought would work.
So my question is this: Do I leave the TV where it is and try to paint the little wooden stand my husband made for it? Should we try to move the TV to a different section of the room and put it in an entertainment center? Do I get rid of the window seat altogether and put in a fireplace and hang the TV over it? (This would be my preferred option if we were planning on staying in the house long term). Do you have a better idea? Does it look fine the way it is? Do you want to buy our house? (And if you are interested in buying our home, my daughter and our vacuum are not included)
