Looking for something fun and educational for your kids? You’ll want to print The Alphabet Coloring Pages for them!
When my twins were little, I made them do something educational every day…even during the summer. They were behind academically when they moved in with us and I wanted to help them learn as much as possible.
I looked for fun ways to reinforce what they were learning. They totally loved anything that included coloring pages.
They’re in middle school now and while I don’t use educational coloring pages like I used to, I still make coloring pages for them so that we can sit around our dining room table coloring together and talking.
As I was thinking about what I wanted to do with my kids this summer to help them avoid “summer slide”, I thought I’d create some fun resources for you as well.
And since the alphabet is pretty foundational to all learning, I thought the alphabet coloring pages would be a good idea.
This printable pack includes 26 different coloring images (since there are 26 letters in the alphabet). I know you’re thinking “DUH!”. But I like to state the obvious sometimes! 😉
Each letter of the alphabet also includes a picture to color.
You can print the whole file off at once or just choose a letter or 2. If you plan on printing lots of coloring pages at home, you may want to consider a laser jet printer. It’s so much cheaper to print with one.
While I love coloring with crayons, my preferred method of coloring is with colored pencils. It’s so much easier to color in those smaller areas…especially words.
You can use any colored pencils, but my favorites by far are these colored pencils. They’re more expensive, but they color amazingly and they last a lot longer than regular colored pencils. If you have little kids who will be coloring, I recently discovered these awesome colored pencils for kids. They’re very similar to the ones I love, but they’re a lot cheaper.
