I am turning 40 in less than a year. With that major milestone approaching and a lupus flare that has caused me to really struggle for the last 6 months, I’ve been looking at my health (and my weight) a lot more seriously. While I’d love to completely overhaul my life, I know that’s not practical and it’s also not a long term solution. I know myself and I tend to do better setting big goals and then breaking my goals down into doable baby steps!
United Healthcare recognized that there are a whole lot of people out there like me who need a little motivation to take a step in the right direction and so they created the We Dare You campaign. The campaign challenges people to take a small step to a healthier life every day. Every person can take steps that will benefit their health…maybe it’s eating more nutritious meals, maybe it’s committing to walk 3 times a week, maybe it’s cutting out soda. United Healthcare knows that small steps lead to big changes and they want to help you get there.
Each month, the We Dare You campaign offers 3 challenges. These challenges educate you and help you to make better choices AND they offer prizes. I’m a huge fan of incentives and so I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon.
The October challenges include a Breast Cancer Awareness video, a Prevention Care Quiz, and my favorite…a healthy dessert challenge. This month they are giving away $25 gift cards and $400 gift cards!!!
