I’m excited to share my “What I’m Reading in 2021” book list with you. I shared my 2020 Book List with you and it was fun to be able to look back and see the variety of books I read, so I thought I’d do it again.
Why I’m Sharing My Reading List
For the last 10+ years, one of my goals every year has been to read and/or listen to at least 100 books…and I don’t think there’s been a single year that I’ve missed that goal. But I have struggled to keep track of what I’ve read.
Last year, I decided to update my reading list weekly on the blog. It was fun hearing from you guys about the books you loved or books you recommended I read. When you recommend a book, I add it to my Books to Read list that I’m currently working my way through.
Sometimes, I’ll read a book one of you has recommended, fall in love with the author, and then binge-read/binge-listen to everything else I can get my hands on by that author. That happened a few times last year.
This year one of my goals is to read more actual books. I get most of my reading done via audiobooks, and while I don’t see that changing in the near future, I do want to read more actual books. I also want to do a few read-alouds with my family. My kids are teenagers, so I’m not sure how this will go over, but I want to try it anyway!
